11D10N Nagaland Comprehensive Tour — full itinerary
Ten nights across Nagaland covering the major valleys, Angami and Konyak heritage villages, Dzukou Valley and Kohima.
Day 1 — Arrival at Dimapur → Benreu
- Drive to Benreu village (approx. 5–6 hrs).
- Evening village walk & interaction with locals.
Pick-up from Dimapur Airport/Railway Station.
Day 2 — Benreu (Mt. Pauna / Trek & Culture)
- Explore Mt. Pauna (sacred forest area).
- Trekking / village trails / local cultural experiences.
Day 3 — Benreu → Khonoma (Angami Heritage Village)
- Drive to Khonoma (approx. 4–5 hrs).
- Heritage walk, morung visit, eco-conservation stories.
- Evening at leisure.
Day 4 — Khonoma → Kohima (Full Day in Capital City)
- Short drive to Kohima (1 hr).
- Visit War Cemetery, State Museum, Kisama Heritage Village.
- Explore Kohima market & local cuisine.
Day 5 — Kohima → Dzükou Valley (Trek & Stay)
- Early start for Dzükou Valley trek (via Viswema or Jakhama).
- Spend day in the valley—rivers, meadows, caves.
Overnight: Dzükou Valley (trekker’s hut/camping)
Day 6 — Dzükou → Kohima
- Morning hike & descend.
- Drive back to Kohima.
- Rest / local café exploration.
Day 7 — Kohima → Mokokchung (Ao Region)
- Drive to Mokokchung (approx. 7–8 hrs).
- En route: Wokha viewpoints.
- Evening stroll in Mokokchung town.
Day 8 — Mokokchung → Tuensang
- Drive to Tuensang (approx. 6–7 hrs).
- Explore traditional villages, crafts, and tribal culture.
Day 9 — Tuensang → Mon (Konyak Region)
- Drive to Mon (approx. 6–7 hrs).
- Visit Angh’s (chief’s) house, Konyak tattooed elders (if possible).
Day 10 — Mon (Konyak Villages Exploration)
- Day trip to Longwa Village (straddling India–Myanmar border).
- Cultural immersion, wood carvings, opium pipes, morungs.
Day 11 — Mon → Dibrugarh (Fly Out)
- Early morning drive to Dibrugarh Airport (approx. 6–7 hrs).
- Eco-cultural villages: Benreu, Khonoma, Mokokchung, Mon.
- Nature & trekking: Dzükou Valley, Mt. Pauna.
- Tribal culture: Ao, Chang, Konyak, Angami experiences.
- Smooth ending with exit via Dibrugarh (Assam).
